Donna Elvira is the only Sicilian sweet shop that produces Cioccolato di Modica IGP using the bean-to-bar method, that is, following all stages of processing, from the cocoa bean to the bar. Since 1999, it has been inspired by the handwritten recipes of ancient Sicilian convent confectionery to also produce nougats, jams and martorana fruit.
