Vento di Sardegna is the Open 50 boat of Andrea Mura, an internationally renowned sailor born in Cagliari in 1964. Currently engaged in the Global Solo Challenge, the solo round-the-world race with no stopovers or assistance, Mura has a very rich palmares - just to mention some of his successes, in 2010 he enters history as the first Italian to win the Route du Rhum, in 2012 he won the Twostar setting a distance record that is still unbeaten, in 2013 and 2014 he won the Ostar and later on, thanks to the double win, he was awarded a Gold Medal for National Athletic Valor by CONI
